12 passengers onboard a Qatar Airways flight to Greece tested positive for Coronavirus after being cleared of the virus before take off.
The Greek civil protection authority said 12 out of 91 people tested positive for COVID-19 on the Qatar Airways flight that arrived on Monday.
Qatar Airways, however, confirmed that all passengers on board the Athens flight were healthy before they boarded the plane.
“Following these epidemiological facts, flights from and to Qatar are suspended until June 15,” the Greek CP agency said in a statement.
The Qatar Airways passengers who tested positive for Coronavirus will now be in quarantine for 14 days.
The rest of the passengers who tested negative will also be put into quarantine for seven days. They will then be re-tested to make sure they don’t have the virus.
In other flight news, Emirates have upped their flight schedule and are now flying to 29 destinations across the world.
