It wouldn’t seem like New Year’s Eve in Dubai without fireworks. This time, the city will play host to a dazzling display across five locations to welcome 2019.
Fireworks will go off at midnight from the iconic Burj Khalifa to ring in 2019. The spellbinding fireworks will be accompanied with LED shows and laser displays. People are encouraged to reach Downtown early to get a good spot. Taking the metro is perhaps the best way to reach Downtown since there will be road closures. For those who want to steer clear of the crowds, you can also watch the fireworks online.
Burj Al Arab
Before Burj Khalifa, the sparkling display of lights that brought the night sky alive in Dubai started from Burj Al Arab. The seven-star hotel will witness fireworks against the backdrop of the Arabian Sea illuminating the skies. Places such as Umm Suqeim, Kite Beach and Al Sufouh are among the best places to view the fireworks. We recommend reaching early to get a good spot.

Atlantis The Palm
Catch a panoramic view of Atlantis The Palm and ring in 2019 with their epic fireworks display. This time, it’s going to be a pyrotechnics show as a ten-second countdown will commence before welcoming in the new year. We suggest head to The Beach, Umm Suqeim or JBR’s Jumeirah’s boardwalk to witness the fireworks display.
Dubai Festival City
Launching loud, colourful, bright fireworks has been a tradition at Dubai Festival City over the years and they’re welcoming the new year in the same fashion this New Year’s Eve. Celebrations kick off with live entertainment, followed by a dazzling display of fireworks and a LED show on the façade of Intercontinental Hotel.

If you’ve got your family in town and have still not decided where to head this New Year’s Eve, Global Village is an ideal choice. They’ve got a line-up of live performances to keep revellers entertained from 4:30 pm, including live stunts and flash mobs. NYE fireworks will be viewable from most of the pavilions.
