75% of Dubai disinfected

75% of Dubai now clean and disinfected as 24-hour restrictions extended for another week

While we’ve been busy completing Netflix, baking badly and doing our daily UFC Gym x Dubailad workout, the Dubai Civil Defence has been busy and disinfected up 75% of the city.

The Dubai Civil Defence team have been sweeping the city during the Coronavirus restrictions. And to help clean the rest of the city, they’ve extended the lockdown restrictions for another week.

And while they’ve disinfected 75% of Dubai, including the most densely populated areas, they’ve also made 490 field visits to labour camps around the emirate.

“Our teams sterilised labour camps and spread awareness by teaching workers the hygiene skills to protect themselves from COVID-19,” said Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, director of Dubai Civil Defence. “We educated the workers by placing stickers in their accommodation on how to protect themselves from the virus.”
