If you want proof of just how far the UAE has come, then look no further than Abu Dhabi where a mosque, synagogue and church are being built side-by-side.
The religious buildings are all part of the Abrahamic Family House which is expected to be finished by 2022.
And they’ve got some high-profile supporters. The three buildings have been endorsed by Pope Francis, and the Grand Imam.
The three Abu Dhabi buildings are separately called the Imam Al-Tayeb Mosque, St. Francis Church and the Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue.
As well as the three places of worship, they’re also building a fourth area for religious education.
The history of the buildings dates back to 2019 when Mohamed bin Zayed ordered them to be built to ‘reflect the peaceful coexistence of different communities in the UAE.’

The Abrahamic Family House project is also the first time that three places of worship have been purpose-built in the same area.
Another first for the region, and what an amazing project!
