AED600m Floating Sea Palace Resort to be built in Dubai Marina

We’re used to spectacular designs in Dubai, but this Floating Sea Palace Resort costing AED600 million in Dubai Marina made us look twice.

The Sea Palace Floating Resort will include a stunning hotel and six linked luxury floating glass boat villas. And it’s all going to be housed in the Dubai Marina area.

The floating glass villas will soon be up for sale. And they sound incredible. They come with a balcony, stunning views over the Marina and an outdoor swimming pool. That’s not all though, as Mohamed El Bahrawy, CEO and founder of El Bahrawy Group, explains.

“We put glass at the bottom of the yacht so that the owner can enjoy the underwater views during the day and night. It is a mix of a yacht and villa. The villa is licensed as a yacht, not a house.”

The villas are 95% complete and due to be finished by the end of the year. The rest of the project meanwhile is at 65% according to El Bahrawy.

The floating villas have two floors including four ensuite bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. And presumably, a diving board to make the most of the Arabian sea!

More floating villas

The Floating Sea Palace Resort isn’t the first floating villa scheme to be launched in Dubai.

The Heart of Europe luxury resort in the Dubai World islands is set to launch still at the end of the year.

The developers have said that the first home-owners will be able to move in by the end of 2020. And while some of the palaces, private beaches and villas have been sold, there are still plenty up for sale.

Including the jaw-dropping seahorse villas.
