Alserkal Avenue To Host Fundraising Events For Lebanon

This Saturday, 15th August, Alserkal Avenue will be hosting a fundraising day for Lebanon.

After the blast in the Lebanese capital which took place on 4th of August, the UAE arts community has come together to provide support for charities that are working on the ground in Beirut.

“A Day for Beirut”

Businesses and art galleries who form part of the arts neighbourhood in Al Quoz are coming together this Saturday and will be donating proceeds for the day to Emirates Red Crescent.

Funds raised will be matched by Alserkal, the arts foundation linked to the Avenue.

The initiative has been titled ‘A Day for Beirut’ and it includes a donation drive which will run until Saturday, 29th August.

Items such as food, first aid kits, masks, hygiene products and toys will be accepted at Warehouse 46 inside the Avenue. The items will eventually be sent to Beirut thanks to Emirates Red Crescent.

Monetary donations may also be made and can be delivered at a collection point in A4 Space.

The following businesses in Alserkal Avenue will donate 100 per cent of proceeds made on Saturday to the initiative for Lebanon:
