18 million likes in ten days
Who would’ve thought an egg would crack the record as the most liked image on Instagram? The stock photo went live on 4th January and crossed 18 million likes within ten days. The account owner, whose identity remains anonymous, posted the image along with a caption, “Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this.”
Kylie Jenner the previous record-holder
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old fashionista held the record for almost a year, in an image from 7th February 2018 showing her daughter, Stormi Webster’s hand wrapped around her thumb. She even took a dig at the egg’s campaign. In a humorous series of videos, the diva took to Snapchat to crack an egg and joke about it. She later posted it on Instagram, saying “Take that little egg.”
