Ahead of the final stage of the English Premier League, Arsenal will be training in Dubai for five days and play a friendly on Tuesday, 26th March.
Arsenal in Dubai
After their match versus Rennes, superstar Mesut Özil and the Arsenal squad will be heading to Dubai for a five-day training camp this month, followed by a friendly versus Al Nasr FC at Al Nasr Club. Fun fact, it isn’t the first time the Gunners are heading to Dubai for a training camp. They’re returning to our city after 41 years.
Friendly versus Al Nasr FC to inaugurate Al Maktoum Stadium
Al Nasr Club recently revamped the Al Maktoum Stadium to host AFC Asian Cup matches last January, but will have a formal inauguration ceremony when Arsenal take on hosts Al Nasr FC on 26th March. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, 16th March, with tickets priced from Dhs 100. You can get them either via Platinumlist or at the stadium.
Head coach Unai Emery says their training camp in Dubai will help the squad get some “warm weather training” and chance to “break up the usual routine” before taking on Newcastle in the final stage of the EPL. He said, “It will be great to get some warm weather training and break up the usual routine as we enter the final stage of the season. The facilities in Dubai are fantastic and it will be an honour to be part of the formal opening ceremony for the new stadium.”
