Palm Jumeirah’s most prominent hotel, Atlantis is looking to revamp its property for the next two years, accordingto Gulf News.
Renovation might take two years
With the increasing number of hotels established on Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis has been facing immense competition to “outperform.” Timothy Kelly, General Manager and Senior Vice President of operations at Atlantis, said: “There’s a lot of pressure to continue to outperform every year.” As a result, they’ve decided to renovate its property for the next two years, which may cost a whopping $250 million (Dhs918million).
Wavehouse among upcoming attractions to open at Atlantis
Works on the entertainment destination Warehouse are going on. The destination will be home to an adult-only bar, family restaurant, four-lane bowling alley and a sprawling terrace with outdoor bars. Post-renovation, Wavehouse will host live bands and DJs, performing at their “upbeat atmosphere and chilled décor.”
New features for clubs, lobby and beaches
Guests can expect a line-up of changes at Atlantis 2.0. The revamp will include a newly designed club lounge, a new lobby and VIP-check and upgrades on its bars. The best part, more beachspace! Speaking about the beach upgrade, Kelly said, “We went to Ras Al Khaimah and got truckloads of sand. We sifted it, and brought it out to the hotel because we wanted it to be a bit more fluffy,”
