Despite earning a whopping $2.744 billion at the box office, Marvel is planning to re-release ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to break Avatar’s box office record.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ re-releasing
At the present point in time, ‘Endgame’ grossed $2.744 billion at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
The film is a mere $43 million away from breaking Avatar’s 10-year-record as the highest grossing film, earning $2.787 billion. (AED10.1b)

Biggest opening of all time for ‘Avengers: Endgame’
It had quite a start when it hit the cinemas last April, with numerous shows throughout the opening weekend, including in Dubai.
The film hit a staggering worldwide opening of $1.2 billion (AED4.4b) at the box office.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ re-release with extra scenes?
Kevin Feige, President Marvel Studios, says that they’re doing “whatever it takes” to help the film beat the Avatar record. He says the re-release will come with “extra surprises,” to which Comic Book claims the film will have “additional footage that didn’t make it into the official cut in April.”
‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ releasing next week
With the imminent re-release of Avengers: Endgame, it’s also worth mentioning that ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ also from the Marvel studios, is releasing on 4th July.
