Baby Shark has officially become the most-watched Youtube video ever with 7.04 billion views since it was uploaded four years ago.
The insanely catchy and annoying song finally edged past Despacito, the 2017 single by Puerto Rican pop stars Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
Do do do do do do do do do – aargh!
Baby Shark is originally a nursery rhyme. But it became part of modern culture across the world when it was recorded by 10-year-old Korean-American singer Hope Segoine for educational company Pinkfong.
Add in some snappy fish-related dance moves, a cute video, and you have a viral hit.
And one we’d be happy never to hear again, to be honest.
The song has even been used for torture when three Oklahoma prison workers were charged with prisoner cruelty. They’d allegedly handcuffed inmates and forcing them to stand and listen to Baby Shark for two hours.
