His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announces Dubai Future District, a brand new business district aiming to discover and grow new economies in Dubai.
The future is coming!
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai announced the creation of a new business district on Twitter.
The District will fill the space between Dubai World Trade Centre, Emirates Towers and Dubai International Financial Centre. Once it’s built, it will be the Middle East’s largest district dedicated to new economies.
The bold move aims to ensure Dubai future-proofs the next few decades. The UAE has grown exponentially in recent decades and the District will help ensure that business in the region can continue growing.
New AED1 billion fund also announced
As well as the launch of the new district, he also announced a new Dh1 billion fund to support new economy companies.
The money will assist companies operating out of Dubai Future District, turbo-charging the UAE’s position in the region and in the world.
The UAE also announced it was aiming to boost foreign trade deals to over AED2 trillion by 2025. Which means that over 50 global offices will be set up to help improve trade, tourism and investment in the region. Sign us up for an overseas position in the Caribbean, please!
The news comes following the UAE Cabinet’s decision to increase the tourist visa to five years.
