Battle of the Bands Review: High-Spirited Event With Pumping Music

With loads of beverage offerings, ample dining options and thumping loud music, Red Hot & Chili is worth a shout if you’re looking for a high-energy bar.

Banging bass and amped-up music at Red Hot & Chili’s Battle of The Bands

We ventured to the Red Hot & Chili bar for the grand finale of their Battle of The Bands event last night. The finale had ten bands competing, with sets by two homegrown bands, Point of View and Nikotin. We found the music and styles varied and diverse in style, with some song covers and a few originals.

Roaring crowds were headbanging to epic rock tunes and seemed captivated by the high-octane vibe, something only a few spots can boast.

Traditional bar vibe

Red Hot & Chili’s theme and décor are akin to a typical bar, with backlit lighting, bare floors, walls covered with black curtains and brick walls. The staff were friendly and efficient. They also have classic bar sports like billiards and darts.

Pub grub classics and regional dishes

We were served a plate of chicken wings in barbecue sauce. The wings were crispy, meaty and so juicy that it’s hard to eat just one. Bonus points for the barbecue sauce.

Apart from chicken wings, they serve pub grub classics like fish and chips, jumbo shrimps, quesadillas, nachos and much more. Some of their regional offerings include shish tawouk, chicken shawarma platter and chilly chicken.
