BBC launches new show ‘Inside Dubai: Playground of the rich’

The BBC has launched a new TV series called ‘Inside Dubai: Playground of the Rich’ that showcases some of the UAE’s wealthiest people.

The show, which aired in the UK last night, calls Dubai the ‘Monaco of the Middle East’ as it’s home to over 50,000 millionaires.

The first episode of Inside Dubai features 19-year-old Rashed Belhasa AKA Money Kicks who’s Dubai’s “richest teenager.”

He says living in Dubai feels like “every day is my birthday” as he drops his for his Rolls-Royce off for a quick colour upgrade. And you can see him in action in the video below.

Other guests on the show include Indian businessman Abu Sabah who owns the world’s most expensive numberplate. It cost an eye-watering $9 million. Which we’re not entirely sure is money well spent when the car is ‘only’ worth $800,000.

The show also meets with socialite Sonia Pronk and UK expat Gaynor Scott, both of whom own huge mansions in Dubai.

Let us know what you think of the show if you get a chance to see it!
