Nine passengers went through an additional medical screening and rest of the 502 passengers were allowed to leave and clear customs.

Passengers with connecting flights will be assisted with re-bookings

Phew! Hospitalised passengers with connecting flights will be assisted by the luxury airline’s local ground staff with rebookings. Emirates followed it with an apology saying “We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience caused. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always our top priority.”

Meanwhile, the return flight, EK204 from New York to Dubai was delayed by approximately three hours because of onboard screenings by authorities at JFK after the plane was quarantined.

Besides, Emirates temporarily stopped operations at Osaka

Due to Typhoon Jebi, the luxury airline announced cancellations of its flights to Osaka Kansai International Airport in Japan. It’s their most powerful storm in 25 years there has been a death count of ten so far.
