Dubai Police arrived at the school

Police officers have arrived to investigate the situation. Dubai Police tweeted, “Dubai Police are currently handling a situation involving an unidentified individual at the GEMS Wellington School on Al Khail Road. Our officers on site are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. All students are safe under the provision of school authorities.”

“All students are safe”

As the investigation goes on, a GEMS Wellington School rep clarified the students are safe. They said, “We have been made aware of an incident which happened at one of our schools this [Wednesday] morning. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. All students are safe under the provision of school authorities while this matter is investigated further.”

Update: Lockdown lifted, suspect identified

It may sound insanely usual, but the lockdown happened after a mother bought “cleaning powder and detergents” to GEMS Wellington School to show cleaners “how to clean properly.”
