World number five Bryson DeChambeau and a massive field of golfers will be in the hunt for victory at the landmark 30th edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
Star-studded line-up of Golf stars confirmed
Some of the world’s top golfers will be in contention to clinch the 2019 Omega Dubai Desert Classic title. The winner receives a purse to the value of €2,817,587 (AED 11.8m). This year’s line-up includes Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Tyrrell Hatton, Thorbjørn Olesen, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and 2018 Ryder Cup Team Europe Captain Thomas Bjørn.
2019 marks 30 years of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Over the decades, the illustrious championship witnessed 24 players battle for the Dallah trophy, including legends Tiger Woods, Seve Ballesteros, Fred Couples and ‘The Big Easy’ Ernie Els, who’s set to make his 17th appearance, after making his Dubai debut in 1994.
Omega Dubai Desert Classic a “world class weekend”
While preps are underway to celebrate the rich history of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, Tournament Director David Spencer calls the golf championship a “world class weekend.” Spencer said, “The 30th edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic marks a very special milestone for us. We cannot wait to celebrate 30 years of success and history with another fantastic event. There is a great deal of anticipation for the 2019 tournament and what will be a world class weekend of golf.”
