Burj Khalifa is building the hype for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ with its dazzling light show

Five days prior to the UAE release of Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, Burj Khalifa is marking the countdown every evening by projecting the film’s characters.


Countdown will continue till April 26th

Marvel fans can still watch out for the light show where they will be projecting one superhero every evening from 7:50pm onward. Additionally, tweeting photographs or videos of the light show using the hashtag #InfinityWarwithEmaar can land you a chance to watch the film for free at Reel Cinemas in Dubai Mall.

Infinity War will mark ten years of MCU

Since ‘Iron Man’s release started the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) on May 1st, 2008, the universe has had 18 films associated to a common story-line leading to the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. Its prequels ‘The Avengers’ in 2012 and ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in 2015 got all of its superheroes together based on their respective phases but ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will have the highest number of superheroes in one film, more than its prequels.

Its trailer has a world record for most views within a day

Within 24 hours of its release, the trailer received 230 million views, raising the bar after the 2017 horror film ‘It’, according to received 179 million views within one day followed by Fast and Furious 7 receiving 139 million views within a day, according to pop culture news website ‘IGN’.


Fastest pre-sale tickets record belongs to Infinity War too

Last month, the film had the fastest pre sales ticket record, selling within six hours. The record belonged to ‘Black Panther’ and previously to ‘Justice League’ and ‘Wonder Woman’. According to box office revenue tracker Box Office Mojo, ‘Black Panther’ went on to earn $1.1 billion, followed by ‘Wonder Woman’ earning $821 million and ‘Justice League’ earning $657 million.
