During the month-long FIFA World Cup, football fans won’t have to worry about match updates or live scoreboard because Burj Khalifa will be lit every evening throughout the World Cup.
Live scoreboard will be projected on Burj Khalifa’s facade
While a match is going on, Burj Khalifa is projecting a live scoreboard and after every goal scored, its facade will screen the flag of the goal-scoring country. Football fans can experience the views best from Dubai Mall next to The Dubai Fountain. There’s also a tent at the Armani Hotel Dubai, livecasting the World Cup matches.
Burj Khalifa hosted a light show every evening during Ramadan
During the holy month of Ramadan, mall goers and people around the Downtown area were delighted by the light show happening every evening after Iftar. The artworks for the show were inspired by the 99 names of Allah, such as ‘Al Rahim; The Merciful’ and ‘Al Malek; The Lord. Interestingly, the artwork took 15 years to complete by the UAE based artist, Art Noor.
Recently Burj Khalifa marked the countdown for Avengers 3
Prior to the release of Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, Burj Khalifa did a week-long countdown of the superhero film at evenings. Along with the countdown, the Emaar team also had a contest giving away free tickets to die-hard Marvel fans and its daily countdown was themed to a superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe over its ten years.
