Reggae Beachfest returns to Yas Beach for its fourth edition this Friday, 5th October, with a massive line-up of local and international acts.

Fat Joe headlining Reggae Beachfest

Rap music fans can expect an entire night of non-stop partying to old school hits from US rapper Fat Joe, the hitmaker behind tracks like ‘Lean Back’ and ‘What’s Luv?’ The 48-year-old rapper is no stranger to UAE’s party scene, performing at BASE Dubai last April and Yas Island nightclub Mad’s first anniversary in 2016. He’s a good friend of Dubai’s famed Youtuber, Rashid Belhasa and even shot a music video with him.

Fusion of reggae and afrobeat

Partygoers into reggae and afropop music are in for a surprise! Jamaican star reggae artist Charly Black will perform at the beach festival. He rose to stardom with hit singles ‘You’re Perfect’ and ‘Gyal You A Party Animal’. Next up, Nigerian Afropop sensation Iyanya will take over the stage, performing upbeat tracks like ‘Kukere’ and ‘Up 2 Sumting,’ that showcased him as one of Africa’s most prominent artists. The festival continues with performances from Puerto Rican artist Dynasty and DJ duo Divas On Deck.

Platform for homegrown talent

Besides the international headliners, UAE’s R&B duo Jeff Maximum and Eddie are confirmed to return for the fourth edition. The festival will end with sets from veteran DJs Jezz, Don Dada and Teddy Jam, regarded as Dubai’s finest in urban music. The DJ trio will conclude the festival on a high note, spinning the best of mainstream and EDM tunes.

Discount on online ticket purchases

Here’s the breakdown. Buying an early bird ticket costs Dhs130, while a ticket at the entrance will cost an extra Dhs20. The minimum age for entering the festival is 21 and tickets can be purchased either via PlatinumList or at Virgin Megastores. Also, partygoers get a 30% off on two Careem rides to and from the festival.
