Canadian electronic music maestro Dan ‘Caribou’ smith will be performing at the Irish Village on Thursday, 8th November from 8 pm .
Electro icon Caribou
Regarded as a polymath of the electronic music circuit, Caribou is a veteran of the music scene having been in the industry for nearly two decades. His discography boasts nine studio albums recognized by Billboard 200, Polaris Music Prize, Juno Awards and Mixmag. He’s also performed at popular music festivals like Pitchfork in Paris and Coachellain California.
Widespread acclaim after ‘Our Love’
Club-conquering tracks like ‘Sun and ‘Our Love’ remain Caribou’s biggest hits in the electronic music scene. With a career spanning almost two decades, there’s no stopping to the electro legend. Last year, he released two albums: ‘Frabiclive 93’ and ‘Jole Mai’. The 40-year-old DJ also goes by the names ‘Mantiago’ and ‘Daphini.’

R&B duo Rhye will also be performing at The Irish Village. They’re the guys behind viral hits like ‘The Fall’ and ‘Open’ amassing 16 million and 44 million views respectively, rising to fame with their unique atmospheric and Balearic sounds. Their debut album ‘Woman’ peaked at 55th on Billboard200 and earned a nomination for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2013.
