There’s a great deal of hype surrounding World’s Ultimate Strongman which starts its 2019 competition next week on 25th October. Adding to the anticipation, they’ve unveiled an adrenaline-fueled line-up of challenges which the participants will face. Check out what’s in store for the strongmen…
The log press
First off, this edition will see heavyweight athletes square off lifting a colossal 180 kg log press. Check it out:
It doesn’t get any more than entertaining than this one! Of all the strongman events, there’s no denying the vehicle run is the most awe-inspiring highlight. Strongmen will be seen pulling a massive truck up to 30 metres, pushing their endurance and adrenaline to the max.
As if the action-packed line-up isn’t enough, WUS has loads of entertainment going on throughout the event, including a muscle car show, hot air balloon ride, vintage Land Rover challenge, UFC Gym Experience, double Wipe Out, mini obstacle courses and an insane eight-metre high bag jump. WUS descends upon Dubai next Friday, 25th October, featuring the biggest line-up in Strongman history, including Scotland’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman, ‘Persian Lion’ Ramin Farajnejad, 9 x World’s Strongest Man Finalist Terry Hollands and many more.
Tickets start from Dhs 195 for general admission. But if you want something special, there are VIP options which give you the chance to enjoy some exciting extras:
A VIP ticket costs Dhs 745, with parking, entrance, seating, unlimited food and drinks for four hours and meet and greet opportunities with the stars.
A VVIP single ticket costs Dhs 1,495 offering all the VIP services as well as a one-night stay at The Meydan Hotel that night (Friday, 25th October) and after-party access.
An Ultra VIP Single is available for Dhs 2,090 inclusive of all the VIP offerings in addition to after-party access, a two-night stay at The Meydan Hotel (Thursday, 24th-Saturday, 26th October) and breakfast with the athletes.
