Chocolate snow spews from Swiss factory after malfunction

The forecast was cloudy with a chance of chocolate snow in one Swiss town after a problem at a Swiss chocolate factory sent a plume of cocoa powder.

In a story that Willy Wonka would be proud to call his own, a ventilation issue meant that the fine chocolate powder got blown out of the factory.

And, combined with a strong wind, the powder left nearby cars coated in a fine dusting of roasted cocoa nibs, the basic ingredient of chocolate.

Chocolate makers Lindt & Spruengli did offer to pay for any cleaning their chocolate dusting might have caused on cars and houses. But, unsurprisingly, they hadn’t had any offers. Presumably, the car owners were too busy licking the free chocolate snow from their cars like normal human beings.

And Dubai’s dream weather forecast? Cloudy with a chance of hummus. Hmm.
