International comedy phenomenon The Umbilical Brothers are heading to Dubai next month for a night of endless comedy.

Fusion of theatre, slapstick and stand-up

Performing for the first time in UAE, the Aussie comedy duo has been on the comedy scene since 1988, and their unique style of mixing vocal with physical comedy is recognized globally, ranked as two of Entertainment Weekly’s “100 Most Creative People In Entertainment.” They’ve also appeared on The Late Show with Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Shared the stage with Robin Williams, how ’bout dat?

What’s better than performing in front of a home crowd with thousands cheering? One of the biggest highlights of their stand-up career was when they gigged at Sydney Opera House with the late comedy icon, Robbin Williams. They’ve even performed alongside James Brown, regarded as “the Godfather of Soul” at the second largest ever Woodstock music festival, which was attended by 400,000 festivalgoers in 1999.

Critically acclaimed in ‘The Upside Down Show’

Beyond comedy, the comic duo bought their A game in the TV show business with ‘The Upside Down Show’ in 2006-07, which won them the prestigious Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Award along with numerous awards and nomination in the Australian film/tv awards circuit. What’s more, they were awarded the Helpmann Award for “Comedy Performance of the Year” and a New York Drama Desk nomination for a year-long-off Broadway run.
