Time to bust out your boombox and one-handed flair as competitive breakdancing has been added to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Breakdancing made it to the 2018 Summer Youth Games in Buenos Aires. And it’s now been given the official green light for Paris in 4 years.
Breakdancing evolved in New York in the 60s and 70s as a way for rival street gangs to battle for turf.
The 2024 Olympics is looking to be “more gender balanced, more youthful and more urban” according to president, Thomas Bach.
And as well as breakdancing, the Paris games will also include surfing, skateboarding and sport climbing.

We do like to do things a bit differently in Dubai and playing rugby in the snow in the desert is definitely one of them.
Ahead of the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Tournament, there are plans to play a rugby tournament in Ski Dubai. On the snow. Rugby. On the snow.
It’s not as strange as you think. Snow rugby is already a big thing in places like Russia which is also part of the Asian Rugby Committee.
And as Dubai is part of the Asia Rugby committee, they want to showcase snow rugby here in Dubai.
They’re also looking to expand into beach rugby as well, which really makes a lot more sense considering our amazing beaches.
