Coronavirus panic buying means gun sales soar in America

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Americans are stockpiling guns and ammo in the wake of the Coronavirus.

And while, yes, we understand that panic makes us deal with problems in different ways, stockpiling guns and ammo just seems incredibly stupid.

Sales of ammunition on Ammo have soared by 68%. And that figure has more than doubled in North Carolina and Georgia.

In a statement, Ammo.com’s marketing manager, Alex Horsman, said: “We know certain things impact ammo sales, mostly political events or economic instability when people feel their rights may end up infringed. This is our first experience with a virus leading to such a boost in sales.”

So, Americans who have stockpiled guns. What exactly are you going to do? Eat them? Use them to control your Coronavirus fever?

Stockpiling mentality

Since entering the Coronavirus pandemic, stockpiling has sadly been all too common. Aside from Americans hoarding guns due to the Coronavirus, toilet paper has been one of the most in-demand items around the world.

But seriously guys, why? Not only is it hideously selfish, the Coronavirus doesn’t give you the runs or even give you a runny nose.

Unless you’re building toilet roll forts at home to keep you occupied, you have no need at all. Plus, as we all know, the shataf is best!
