With the world on lockdown, the DJ live stream from David Guetta from the Burj Al Arab helipad was always going to be a highlight.
But even though we were expecting it to be brilliant, we still weren’t prepared for just how good it would be.
With lasers firing, a stunning light display beaming into the night and David Guetta front and centre on the most famous hotel in the world, everything went right.
Dubai looked incredible as it was bathed in the night time light, with streets and skyscrapers arching out into the distance. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect either, with Guetta’s L’Oreal hair unruffled as he bounced around behind the decks.
The numbers were impressive as well. His live-stream was shared over 25,000 times on Facebook alone with more than 30,000 comments. And over 1.5m people tuned into the live stream, with more catching up in the hours afterwards.
Musically, Guetta went for a more tech-driven, almost trancey sound which we definitely enjoyed. And the whole event helped raise money for Unicef and Dubaicares. Ace!
