Old school Hip-Hop trio De La Soul are heading to Barasti tonight for 4th of July celebrations.
De La Soul returning to Dubai
NYC natives Kelvin Mercer, Vincent Mason and Dave Jolicoeur, collectively known as De La Soul, were a revolution in Hip-Hop in the ‘90s. The trio’s ascent to Hip-Hop glory began through chart-busting hits like ‘Me, Myself & I’, ‘Breakadawn’, ‘Itszoweezee’ and ‘Plug Tunin’.
Last week turned out to be a helluva’ surprise for party people at Barasti. The beach club bought Craig David for a free gig. While Barasti is tight-lipped about De La Soul, they did give a cryptic clue claiming they’re bringing an American Hip-Hop trio who’ve collaborated with Snoop Dogg (they collaborated on the 2016 song, ‘Pain’.)

Loads of deals going on at Barasti’s ‘House of Whatever’
This summer, Barasti is playing host to the ‘House of Whatever’. There’s a line-up of drink deals at the beach bar through the week. Sundays kick off with ‘Seven Dollar Sundays’, serving select drinks for Dhs 25; Wednesdays are for drink deals based on a real-time exchange screen and Fridays are for the ‘unpredictable’ high-energy brunches, and impromptu headline performances.
