Dramatic UAE helicopter rescue as tourist falls off mountain

A Sharjah Police helicopter flew to the rescue when an Italian tourist fell from one of the Mheiha Mountain peaks last weekend.

Sharjah Police airlifted a 42-year-old to safety after he had fallen 50 feet down the mountain.

The man broke his arm and suffered a deep head injury as well as several bruises.

Sharjah Police quickly reacted to the call for help. With no way to get an ambulance to the fallen man, they sent a helicopter which transferred him to Al Dhaid Hospital where he is recovering.
