A driver has been arrested in Al Barsha after he was caught impersonating a Dubai Police officer and carrying alcohol in his car.
The 43-year-old Arab man was originally pulled over as the car’s license had expired.
A traffic policeman pulled him over in Al Barsha. He then discovered the man was impersonating a Dubai Police officer and using his driving license and identity card. Alongside that, he was caught carrying alcohol in his car.
The arrested man said the car belonged to a friend.
And he also told the policeman – the real policeman, that is – that he’d found the police officer’s license and ID card by mistake.
And then, presumably, kept on using them by mistake for the next four years.
Yup. OK then.
The Police officer who lost his wallet reported it lost in 2016 before being issued with a replacement license card.
The accused has now been referred to the Public Prosecution and the Criminal Court where the trial has already begun.
British influencer claims she was thrown out of Dubai Mall for looking ‘too sexy’
A British influencer claims she has been thrown out of Dubai Mall for looking ‘too sexy’ due to her revealing outfit.
Emmy Russ is a British reality TV star and aspiring model and was on holiday in the UAE when she was asked to leave Dubai Mall.
The 22-year-old woman was told her fashion sense was far too revealing for the UAE.
According to newspaper reports, she was wearing a cropped glitter top and mini skirt.
She justified her clothes as the weather forecast for that day was for highs of 41 degrees. And the clothes were designed to keep her cool in the heat.
We’d like to wear a budgie smuggler all year round in that case but that ain’t going to happen!
Influencer Russ told her 186,000 Instagram followers about the event where she was given a courtesy policy black card by Dubai Mall.
“Suddenly a security employee came up completely out of breath and said I was too sexy, and I couldn’t walk around like that.”
She complained to her 186,000 Instagram followers by saying: “They threatened me with the police. I was thrown outside and I received a written warning.”
Russ added: “Then I quickly bought a long T-shirt outside and put it on. According to my standards, I didn’t think my outfit was too sexy. When I entered the country, a policeman even flirted with me at the airport.”
