Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce announced the dry night, starting from 5 pm on Monday, 19th November until 6 pm on Tuesday, 20th November. No hotels, restaurants or licensed bars/pubs will be allowed to serve alcohol during this period. So, you may want to change your plans for those two days.
Public holiday to mark Prophet’s birthday
Both the public and private sector will enjoy a day off on Sunday, 18th November, to mark Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, making it a long weekend. The occasion is marked with traditional festivities. Working hours resume on Monday.
Next public holiday falls on 30th November
UAE Commemoration Day falls on Friday, 30th November, followed by the 47th UAE National Day on 2nd December. It’s likely that both the public and private sector may enjoy a three-day long weekend.
