Dubai Tourism has confirmed that there’s a dry night coming to Dubai starting on Wednesday, October 28.
The Dubai dry night is to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammed. And it means that no alcohol is allowed to be served between 5.30 pm on Wednesday, October 28 and 6.30 pm on Thursday, October 29.
It also means there will be no entertainment or live music during the same period. So no bands, DJs or singers.
It’s then very likely to be a public holiday on Thursday October 29, meaning a three-day weekend.
We don’t have long to wait until the next batch of public holidays.
Commemoration Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 1. And that will be followed by two days off for the UAE’s 49th National Day celebrations. Which – maths fans – means a whopping five-day weekend.
