Dubai businessman offers beds for those hit by Coronavirus pandemic

There have been some truly humbling acts of generosity during the Coronavirus pandemic in Dubai. And this Dubai businessman has stepped up to offer free accommodation for those that have been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic and need a place to stay.

Ali Rao is the CEO of Rao Holdings and is offering 100 accommodation options for those who can’t afford rent at the moment.

And he’s already placed dozens of people across the city.

“We have already placed 25 such men in these housing options spread across Al Quoz, Jebel Ali and Muhaisnah areas of Dubai,” Rao told the Khaleej Times.

“One of our companies deals with industrial housing accommodation. We decided to put this space to good use when I came across media articles that highlighted the plight of homeless men,” he said.

Each guest also gets WiFi access, bedding, blankets, bedsheets, and pillows. The goodwill doesn’t stop there, as Rao also helps them source air tickets if they need to return home.

What. A. Legend.

Other amazing acts of charity

The Coronavirus pandemic has in some ways brought the best out of some people, especially those who give their time and energy to help those affected.

Sharjah charity Dar Al Ber Society stepped in when six children lost both their mother and father to Covid-19.

Six children in Sharjah who lost their parents 23 days apart to Covid-19 have been told they will get their housing and school fees paid for.
