Dubai could re-open up to tourists as early as July

The tourism industry in Dubai could be given a huge boost as the city prepares to very gradually open up for business again starting in July.

Dubai could start a gradual process in July whereby it starts welcoming in tourists according to Helal Al Marri, the Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

The UAE began to shut down its borders on March 19 while recent Coronavirus restrictions were partially lifted across the country.

Al Marri told Bloomberg TV that “The thing about the scenario is a global question. Many countries remain closed and it’s more about the bilateral discussion.
