Shoppers and mall goers, there’s something new coming up at the coolest hangout spot, Dubai Creek Harbour and it’s going to be as big as the largest mall in the world, The Dubai Mall.
Dubai Square will be the ‘dawn of global retail’
Breaking the barriers of traditional shopping, the upcoming mall will be completely tech-savvy as most of the shopping there can be done through smartphones or at retail stores, to what Emaar Properties calls as “omnichannel retailing.” The mall is going to be home to top-notch brands with a twist of innovative retail, enhancing the shopping experience for mall goers.
Parts of the mall will be inspired by iconic high-end streets
Dubai Square will be a reflection of how the city is a ‘melting pot’ of people from 200+ nationalities and the city being one of the busiest metropolitan cities. The mall will have select parts inspired by high-end retail streets such as London’s Oxford Street, LA’s Beverly Hills, Paris’ Champs-Elysees, Tokyo’s Ginza, Plazza della Republica in Florence and Madrid’s Plaza Mayor. That isn’t all, there will be more inspired streets.
Chinatown for the first time in UAE, oh yeah!
Home to 200,000+ Chinese expatriates, UAE and China enjoyed great bilateral relations over trade and investments and for the first time, there will be a dedicated Chinatown. In fact, last week was announced as UAE-China week, welcoming China’s President Xi Jinping during a three-day visit and landmarks like Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Dubai Frame were lit in the colours of China’s flag.
