Dubai enters 24-hour restrictions for next two weeks

The National Sterilisation Programme has been extended in Dubai with 24-hour restrictions during the next two weeks.

The two-week program follows several three-day disinfection programmes that effectively closed down the city.

Dubai residents will now only be allowed to leave their home for essential purposes. The metro and tram will be shut, but bus services will still operate and be free to use. Taxis are also still in use.

And if you want to get a permit to leave the house, you’ll need to sign up here.

If you are leaving the house for food shopping, only one adult is allowed to go. And anyone leaving the house must wear a mask and gloves and take part in strict social distancing measures.

Those with vital jobs are allowed to leave as normal, but please take all your ID with you. These vital jobs include healthcare, food supply, customs, food and medicine delivery and more. Check out the full list below.
