Dubai hotel beaches are set to reopen today after weeks of closure as part of the government’s efforts to re-start normal life.
Only hotel guests are allowed to use Dubai hotel beaches. Day passes are still suspended. Hotels will need to maintain social distancing guidelines and protocols. These include…
2m gaps between people
4m distance between different groups of sun-loungers
Beaches must operate at 30% capacity
Maximum group size of 10 people
Guests will need to bring their own face masks and towels
While hotel beaches are set to re-open, other facilities including bars, saunas, nightclubs and spas remain closed according to Arabian Business.
Water sports to re-start as well
It’s also been announced that outdoor and water sports can re-start on private and public beaches.
Water sports, jet skis and boat rentals can resume operation. But groups are strictly limited to five people and gloves and masks are compulsory for staff and visitors.
And, excitingly for all the daredevils out there, solo sky diving can also resume. All jumpers must wear a face mask and undergo temperature checks. Tandem jumps remain banned for the moment.
And if you absolutely have to have that spa and sauna experience, you could always be a little more like Mark who created a hot-tub in his living room.
