Dubai influencers use Burj Khalifa for their baby gender reveal

Gender reveal parties have become part of modern-day life, but one Dubai couple took that to extremes when they used the Burj Khalifa to help reveal their baby’s gender.

Most gender reveal parties feature a big reveal which has a blue or pink colour theme – blue for a boy, pink for a girl. For example, you might cut open a cake to reveal blue or pink icing. Or open a box and a blue or pink balloon pops out.

But Dubai couple Anas and Asala Marwah set up an elaborate project involving the tallest building in the world to reveal their gender.

And the news they’re having a boy would have been hard to miss after the words were projected on the 828m Burj Khalifa tower.

Big social media following

The Anasala family have a popular Youtube channel with 7.3 million followers and Instagram accounts with several million. And it was all about the quest for content.

“I am trying my best to give content that no one has ever seen before,” Asala told viewers. “To me, doing it in this way is something very big.”

Israeli photoshoot in the UAE

In other social media news, an Israeli brand of underwear has made history by shooting the first Israeli fashion advert in the UAE.

The fashion shoot featured Israeli model May Tager and was shot on location in sand dunes in the UAE. And according to their releases, they were the first Israeli fashion brand to work in Dubai.

The shoot was for Fix, a clothing brand that specialises in underwear including lingerie and pyjama company. But the photoshoot was limited to pyjamas to “respect the rules” according to Tager.
