An African gang has been caught by Dubai Police after a scam that involved offering a man double his money with piles of counterfeit dollars.

The African gang approached a person offering double the money he has, showing five huge boxes full of dollars.

Dubai Police arrests gang
The gang even recorded a video of their deal to blackmail him if he denies the offer. He approached Dubai Police for help, who arrested the criminals and discovered the banknotes were fake.
Case referred to Public Prosecution
As of now, the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution. Colonel Faisal Al Qasim, Director of Security Department at Dubai Police, says:
“The video was made by the African gang
without the victim’s knowledge and used the clip to blackmail him after he had
refused to give them money. The scammers tried to deceive the man, who the gang
had lured through social media, promising him to double his money in no time
while showing him boxes filled with counterfeit dollars.”
