Dubai Police fly supercar to italy for 1,000-mile race

A special edition Mercedes is being flown to Italy where Dubai Police drivers will take part in the famous Mille Miglia, the 1,000-mile race.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – working for the Dubai Police looks like the best job in the world.

The A V8 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG is just one of the stunning Dubai Police cars. And capable of speeds of 315km/h, it’s going to be one of the fastest cars in the race.

The 1,000-mile race runs from Brescia in Lombardy to Rome and back. And it’s been described as one of the best and most beautiful races in the world.

The three-day race started on June 16 while the race dates back to 1926. And we’ll get to see the next race as the follow-up 1,000-mile race is taking place in the UAE this December!

“Our participation in the race symbolises the UAE’s efforts to bring safety and security at home and to promote mutual dialogue and respect with other cultures globally,” said Brig Jamal Salem Al Jalaf, director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Dubai Police.

“The Emirates is established on the values of tolerance and openness, evident in its rich diverse society of over 190 nationalities who live and work together in harmony.

“We look forward to sharing these values with millions of race spectators across the world.”
