It’s been over a decade since Madame Tussauds was rumoured to open in Dubai, and finally, the tourist attraction is confirmed for an opening this year.
Madame Tussauds coming to Dubai?
According to an editorial by The National, Dubai will be the first location in the Middle East to have a Madame Tussauds museum. The attraction was slated for an opening 11 years ago. Despite the decade-long delay, it’s now set to open at the Bluewaters Island.

‘Walk of Fame’ inspired attraction coming to Dubai this October
Similar to Hollywood’s iconic ‘Walk of Fame’, the Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown will soon play host to ‘Dubai Stars’, featuring regional and international superstars and characters embedded in five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars.

In time for the ICC Cricket World Cup, India’s captain, Virat Kohli, was honoured with a wax statue by Madame Tussaud, at the Lord’s cricket ground. The 30-year-old batsman is the second Indian cricketer to have a wax statue, after Sachin Tendulkar. He will share the space at the museum with sporting greats, Usain Bolt and Sir Mo Farah.
