There has been a lot of buzz around the development of Dubai’s newest events hub, Coca Cola Arena, which officially launched today.
Diversity of content at Coca Cola Arena
Event goers can expect a variety of international and regional talent taking the stage at Coca Cola Arena. Guy Ngata, CEO of AEG Ogden, the operators of Coca Cola Arena, said, “We’re very excited in terms of diversity of content, which we will be able to deliver in this building. The stage can be varied from event to event, from motocross to basketball to boxing and all sorts of activity.”
“We’ll be seeing different events. The Arabic market is very important to us, so is Bollywood, international touring, sporting and family events,” he added.
“Game changer for Dubai, the UAE and the region”
At the official launch, Murat Ozgel, General Manager of Coca-Cola Middle East talked about how the venue will be a “game changer” for the region will enhance Dubai as an event-driven city. He said, “This will be an opportunity for Dubai to put itself in the heart of music, sports and the entertainment scene in the region and globally. These are very integral parts of Coca Cola’s DNA. This is another example for us where we are determined to create life-long memories through unforgettable experiences.”

Russell Peters and Maroon 5 lined up
Dubai’s events season is nearing an end, but Ngata believes the Coca Cola Arena will change the perception of the events industry. He said, “What this venue will mean to Dubai in terms of the live entertainment industry, is how it will change the perception of the events season which is coming to a little of a close, as we launch into major events, with Russell Peters on 6th June and Maroon 5 on 14th June, and a number of events to be announced in the coming weeks.”
“It will be the newest, proudest and shiniest multipurpose hall arena in the portfolio of the arenas we’re involved with. It’s a first-time opportunity for Dubai, the UAE and the region.”
