Dwayne Johnson inducted into The Dubai Stars
There’s little debate that Dwayne Johnson is among the most well-liked personalities in Hollywood. The 47-year-old made a name for himself in show business through WWE, until he joined the Fast & Furious franchise. The rest, as you know, is history. Last year saw Johnson in lead roles for films like ‘Skyscraper’ and ‘Rampage’.

Forbes ranked Dwayne Johnson as the second-highest-paid actor in 2018, earning $124 million (Dhs 455m). That’s even more than Chris Evans’ ($34m), Will Smith’s ($42m) and Jackie Chan’s ($45.5m) earnings combined!
More additions to The Dubai Stars
The Dubai Stars are honouring some of the biggest names from around the world.
Dwayne Johnson is the first American actor to get a star. Renowned Lebanese poet Gibran Kahlil Gibran, fashion mogul Ellie Saab and singer Fayrouz are among the Arab icons to be nominated. Bollywood megastars Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, and cricket legend MS Dhoni, are among India’s most popular personalities to receive a star.

The Dubai Stars launching this October
Similar to Hollywood’s ‘Walk Of Fame’ concept, The Dubai Stars is honouring the world’s biggest personalities with a star. Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, says “With Dubai Stars, we are further highlighting our commitment to making Dubai the best city in the world and to promote arts, culture and sports by saluting the stars, whose contributions continue to inspire the world.”
