An exciting build up

It was back in April that the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) announced its selection of Hazzaa Al Mansoori as the prime astronaut for the 8 day mission.

Today he boarded the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft which launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Hazzaa tweeted earlier to share his feelings before the launch.

Hazzaa is set to plant the UAE flag at the International Space Station before returning to Earth on 3rd October 2019.
