Low-cost airline easyJet has teamed up with Etihad Airways to launch a new range of flights to and from the UAE.
More than 60 destinations added
The two airlines have combined to offer low-cost flights and connections across 68 cities. The easyJet and Etihad Airways collaboration gives UAE customers access to up a huge range of destinations across Africa and Europe.
Ali Saleh, Etihad Airways vice president alliances and partnerships, said: “This new collaboration between two great brands is a logical leap forward for both our companies.”
“easyJet is a perfect launch partner for us in Europe, allowing us to reliably increase the breadth of our continental reach to and from Abu Dhabi.”
All Etihad flights booked via EasyJet connect via of ten European cities. These include Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Geneva, Madrid, Manchester, Milan and Zurich.
The move is part of Etihad’s global expansion with more routes and destinations with easyJet to be announced soon.
Etihad has also just announced plans to be carbon neutral by 2050. The Abu Dhabi airline currently plans to halve its current carbon footprint by 2035.
