Happening over the next two weeks, a star studded lineup of mainstream will be performing over the next two weekends during The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Eminem, Beyonce Cardi B and numerous A listers will perform
Friday, April 13th will be headlined by The Weeknd, SZA, and Kygo followed by Beyonce, MO(from Major Lazer’s ‘Lean On’) and Post Malone performing on Saturday, April 15th and Eminem, Cardi B, Miguel and French Montana will perform on day three. Not only that, their performances will be headlined by several Djs throughout the event.
Music fans in UAE and across the world can watch the festival too via YouTube through Coachella’s official YouTube channel. However, it isn’t confirmed whether the live stream will go on for the second weekend. Ticket sales kicked off on January 5, costing $429 and were sold out within 35 minutes.
Last year’s Coachella was attended by 250,000 people
Artists like Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar and band Radiohead headlined last year’s edition and was attended by a record breaking crowd of 250,000, earning USD 114.6 million . It was up by 52,000 attendees than the 2016 edition.
Seven venues will host the performers
Hosting hundreds of artists and DJs, they’ve got seven venues named after deserts: Sahara, Gobi, Yuma, Mojave, Outdoor Theatre and the main Coachella stage, which will be hosting A listers like The Weeknd, Kygo and Beyonce.
Beyonce isn’t backing out this time
Lady Gaga was announced as Beyonce’s replacement after she announced her pregnancy and had to cancel her performance. This time, Beyonce posted an image on Instagram of herself rehearsing with a team of dancers a month and a half prior to the festival.
