We’ve all been in shock since the huge blasts that destroyed huge parts of Beirut last week.

Over 150 have been killed and thousands injured following the Beirut blasts which also destroyed thousands of homes.

In total, around 300,000 people are thought to have been affected after the blast ripped through Beirut. And the damage caused is estimated to be more than $3billion. The city and its people need our help.

Lebanese Red Cross

The LRC is an independent organisation that focusses on disaster relief and prevention. It’s also the main provider of ambulances in Lebanon and is staffed by volunteers.

Lebanese Food Bank

The blast at the port destroyed the country’s main grain silo, holding around 85% of the country’s supply. And with up to 80% of the country’s food imported, the country is in urgent need of food and help.

Beit el Baraka is a three-level charity that includes a free supermarket, housing and medical care. It’s also working to repair homes damaged in the blasts.

Arc En Ciel is a Lebanese based non-profit organization established in 1985 during the Lebanese civil war. The group works with hundreds of volunteers and helped over 50,000 people in the last few years.
