To coincide with the auspicious occasion of Eid Al Fitr, residents are being given a festive boost with free parking.
Free parking in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 2nd-7th June
Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority announced free parking starting Sunday, 2nd to Friday, 7th June, across all paid-parking zones, except multi-story car parks. Parking fee will resume from Saturday, 8th June. Public transportation networks like Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram and RTA busses will have varied operational timings. Click here to see the schedule.
Fuel prices increased
With the free parking announcement, it’s also worth mentioning that, fuel prices increased in the UAE recently. A litre of Super 98 now costs Dhs 2.53, up by five fils; Special 95 now costs Dhs 2.42, up by nine fils per litre; and Diesel now costs Dhs 2.53, up by three fils per litre.
Eid Al Fitr break starting this Sunday
Earlier this week, the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced Sunday, 2nd June as the first day of the Eid Al Fitr break for the public sector, and Monday, 3rd June for the private sector.
