Sharjah Police have made the arrest of five men who were allegedly running a fake massage parlour.
The fake massage centre was apparently being used to lure victims for the purpose of theft.
The victims were blackmailed at knifepoint before they were robbed.
Fake Massage Parlour raided
According to Colonel Omar Abu Al Zoud, Director of the Criminal and Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, Police had received a report stating that there was a suspect of Asian nationality distributing “massage cards” in Rolla area.
After the tip, the suspect’s residence was raided and a number of boxes containing advertising cards for the provision of a massage service were recovered.
A number of tools of different sizes were also seized.
Confessed to the crime
All five gang members that were arrested reportedly confessed to the crimes.
Following the arrests, Sharjah Police have warned community members against any fraudulent activity to entrap victims and rob them of their money. Stay alert!
