History of fatal accidents on Jebel Jais
Saturday’s accident was the first helicopter crash on Jebel Jais. Otherwise, the UAE’s tallest mountain has witnessed several cases of deaths due to rash driving and hiking. The last time a death was recorded was of a trekker, who fell to death at Ghalilah mountain in the Jebel Jais area.
Our thoughts and prayers go out the families of those affected by the incident.
